Commonn is an independent footwear and denim store based in the world renowned boot and shoe making town of Northampton. We aim to stock an interesting and varied range of classic, progressive and heritage led brands and of course - Northampton shoes.

Dunlop Footwear

The classic plimsoll shoe first came about in the 1870's and Dunlop were at the forefront. Best known for their Volley and Green Flash styles Dunlop are seen by many as the original Tennis shoe and if they were good enough for Fred Perry they're good enough for us. Dunlop shoes still retain their classic feel with a look proven to be timeless. When you think of Dunlop you think of quality and grip.

Clae Footwear
Clae footwear is the creation of designer Sung Choi. The perfect hybrid of trainer and shoe Clae offer something a little bit different to you everyday sneaker. Fila Footwear
Italian brand Fila was founded back in 1911 but really burst on to the scene in 1973 when it was endorsed by Tennis legend Bjorn Borg. Fila also became a wardrobe staple for those involved with the Football casuals movement in the 80's. A brand that has truly stood the test of time, rooted in sports heritage. The Iconic Fila F13 boot looks as good today as when you used try and get away with them as school shoes.

Huf Footwear
Pro-skater Keith Hufnagel opened his first Huf store in 2002 so he could find all the brands he liked in one store. Huf's reputation has grown rapidly and is now a global brand. The next venture is to launch Huf shoes which will sit perfectly alongside the apparel. Huf shoes are all skate based and have a very classic understated feel. First season of Huf shoes.

Keep Footwear
LA based Keep shoes are definitely something different. Keep shoes can be worn as unisex and there are not many other brands out there that you can compare them to. Keep shoes are distinctive and can normally be spotted by an interesting flash of check or stripe. Super comfortable, Keep shoes are true originality.

Lakai Footwear
Lakai Footwear was started in 1999 by pro-skaters Mike Carroll and Rick Howard with the simple tag line 'The shoes we skate'. Everything that Lakai does is based on their beliefs and doesn't follow the crowd. Rooted in skate, Lakai's classic silhouettes effortlessly cross over in to main stream fashion.

Native Footwear

Native shoes are just about the most interesting brand on the scene when it comes to innovative footwear. Ultra lightweight with simple clean lines, Native shoes are all made from EVA and give a nod of respect to the most classic sneaker silhouettes. The Native range is varied with the Jefferson, Miller and Howard styles all geared up for summer/beach wear and the hiking/snowboot inspired Fitzsimmons more than capable of standing up to the cold winter months. New Balance Footwear
New Balance footwear started in 1906 when a waiter named William J. Riley decided to build arch supports that relieved the pain suffered by people who spent all day working on their feet. He then went on to design custom made running shoes and this is where New Balance found it's market. New balance are still making high quality running shoes that have crossed over into fashion and also produce a Made In England range that comes out of their Flimby factory.

Onitsuka Tiger Footwear
Onitsuka Tiger dates back to 1949 and their founder Kihachiro Onitsuka. Originally created for Basketball, Onitsuka Tiger have developed over the years and have strong links to running and the Olympic games where their reputation for quality and innovation was made. To this day Onitsuka Tiger are very much at the forefront of fashion and performance.

Supra Footwear
US based Supra footwear is relatively new on the scene having only been founded in 2006. Popularity has grown fast though, with their roots firmly planted in skate a number of pro skaters wear signature Supra footwear. Also big on the music scene, continually innovating and adding new models, Supra footwear normally sells out when it hits down and fast.

Superga Footwear
Superga footwear dates back to 1925 where the classic 2750 shoe was created in Italy. A firm favourite for years Superga is now seen as the definitive plimsoll/tennis shoe/casual sneaker etc.etc. Simple, functional and classic in design Superga's are here to stay for many more years.

Veja Footwear
Veja are a brand that produce fair trade sneakers made from Brazilian produce. Very simple in design but high in quality, Veja are a very classy low profile plimsoll that stands above your normal casual shoe. Their original style the Veja Taua is shining example of this.

The b store label launched in 2001 solely as a shoe line - devised by co-owners Jose Neves, Matthew Murphy and Kirk Beattie - with its home in Mayfair's Conduit Street, London. Maians pride themselves on being the original Spanish plimsoll that's still 100% made in Spain. All Shoes are made using high quality regional materials and natural rubber.
